The tab also shows and how many can actually get those notifications, based on their YouTube and device settings. Watch time from subscribers: Your audience’s watch time divided between non-subscribers and subscribers. Age and gender: Your audience by age and gender. Data is based on signed in viewers across all devices. Other channels your audience watches: Your audience’s online activity across other channels on YouTube. Data is based on your viewers across all devices in the last 7 days. Top geographies: Your audience by geography. Data is based on IP address. Top subtitle/CC languages: Your audience by subtitled language. Data is based on use of subtitles/CC. *At the video level, you’ll see reports for watch time from subscribers, top geographies, top subtitle/CC languages, and age and gender. Revenue If you’re in the YouTube Partner Program, the Revenue tab helps you track your earnings on YouTube. The key metrics card shows your estimated revenue, RPM, and playback-based CPM.In this tab you’ll also see reports for: Monthly estimated revenue: How much your channel has earned in the last 6 months. For ongoing months and months without finalized payments, revenue is estimated and subject to change. Revenue sources: How you’re making money with YouTube. Transaction revenue: Estimated net revenue from transactions, such as paid content and Super Chat. The estimate includes deducted partner charged refunds for the selected date range and area. Top-earning videos: Videos with the highest estimated revenue for the time period. Ad types: The format of the ad and its buying platform. When signing up as a new client for our Facebook Ads service, we will need access to your Facebook Ad Account/Pixel and Facebook/Instagram Business Page. This is a 3-step process: Set up your Facebook Business account. Provide Coursenvy access to your Facebook Assets. Make sure your billing information is updated in your Ad Account. Step 1 – Set up Your Facebook Business Account To create a Facebook Business account, watch the following video and complete every step (make sure to add your Facebook Page AND Ad Account). PRO TIP: If someone else at your business has already created your Facebook Page, you will need to be added to the Facebook Page as an Admin before you can create the Facebook Business account. Learn how to add an Admin at: https://www.facebook.com/help/www/187316341316631 If you have created ads in the past without a Facebook Business account, you were using a Personal Ad Account. For an optimal setup, you will need to Create a New Ad Account dedicated to promoting your Facebook Business Page (again, watch the video above). Go to your Business Info page Click the Edit button to the right of your Business Manager Name, Identification Number, and Temporary Thumbnail Image. The Primary Page field will become a search box, enter your Facebook Business Page Name and select your Facebook Page. Click the Save button that shows up and your Business Manager Account will automatically take on the branding of your Facebook Page. Did you install your Facebook Pixel on your website yet? This is a crucial step so you can have Facebook track the people who visit your website, then you can create audiences of these visitors and RETARGET these users with Facebook and Instagram ads (i.e. “warm audience”)! Installing your Facebook Pixel requires access to your websites code, therefore you should link up with your website developer to provide them with this info. How to Create and Install a Facebook Pixel: https://www.facebook.com/business/help/952192354843755 Step 2 – Provide us Access to Your Facebook Business Page & Ad Account Facebook Reference Link — Give a Partner Access to Assets in Your Business Manager: https://www.facebook.com/business/help/1717412048538897 Once the Facebook Business account has been created, navigate to your Business Settings page and select your business (if not already). In the left sidebar, click Partners (under the Users section). Click the + Add button. Enter Coursenvy’s Partner Business ID we emailed you (if you are an ad agency and you are using this guide for your client, you can find your Partner Business ID on the Business Info section of your Business Settings page. It is labeled “Business Manager ID” (your Partner Business ID = Business Manager ID). Then click the blue Next button. In the left sidebar, click Pages. Then Select the Facebook Business Page we need access to. Make sure to toggle the option that says Admin Access. Repeat this process for your Ad Account, Pixel, and Instagram Account (all via the left sidebar in this same popup window). Select and toggle Admin Access for all these Facebook Assets we need access to. Once done, click the blue Save Changes button in the bottom right. Once done, our team should get the invitation to your Facebook Assets. We should be good to start working from there (we will request access to anything else if needed). Step 3 – Make Sure Your Billing Info is Updated in Facebook Ads Manager For all Facebook Ads campaigns you, the client, will get billed directly from Facebook. To ensure the ad account has the correct billing information, please follow the steps below: Login to your Facebook Ads Manager Go to the Payment Settings in Ads Manager In the Payment Method section, click Add Payment Method. Choose the payment method you want to add, fill in your information and then click Continue. Follow any additional instructions to add your payment method. The payment method will be saved to your account. So you will need to GET CREATIVE to get that first client and coveted “case study”! But first things first, you need properly set up your business. How to Start a Business Many of our students overlook the “business” part and want to jump into the “fun” stuff like selling and working with customers. But, you need to conduct some research and do some planning before jumping in headfirst. So, how do you start a business then? Market Research Research your competitors and speak with potential customers. Your goal is to use this info to find a competitive edge for your business. The easiest way to do this is working for free (or on commission only) in order to build out some case studies and work examples. Without a case study, nobody is gonna shell out thousands of dollars for your ad agency payment. You will need to work for one client for free or create your own brand to use as a case study. So in exchange for the 10 new clients, I will need a written and filmed review from you, ONLY if you are 100% satisfied. Sounds good?” Never ask for too much. Provide the value and I promise you, they will pay you to keep doing what you are doing! How We Get Clients for our Social Media Marketing Agency Here are some ideas for obtaining your first clients: Work local! Go door to door offering your services. Meeting in-person to pitch your services helps people not feel like they are getting a spam email from you. Plus, working a local market usually equals easier targeting via Facebook ads since you just have a single market. Contact higher-income businesses (attorneys, doctors, accountants, contractors, restaurants, etc.) that have enough income to have an ad spend budget available. Solve their problem with some FREE work! EXAMPLE: Capture 1-2 leads with your own ad spend for XYZ client, then offer the leads for “free” in exchange for future work! Offer a free month (or XX% off) to your current clients for new referrals! Word of mouth wins when it comes to marketing an ad agency! Best Pitch Email While cold email marketing has the LOWEST return on investment for most digital marketing agency owners, the key is to PERSONALIZE the email so the recipient doesn’t feel like 1 of 10 million people that received this SPAM. #1 – Find the user’s CORRECT name and email. I love using LinkedIn, RocketReach, and Hunter.io for email research. #2 – Find something PERSONAL about this person. Typically find something you have in common with them or an accomplishment of theirs you find via social media or find something you can COMPLIMENT the person on (everybody loves a compliment). For example, I will find what college the user went to on LinkedIn and comment on that in the first sentence of the cold email. For example, Hi FirstName, I saw you were on the University of Miami football team?! That is the coolest, I love the Hurricanes. So quick question for you… PITCH EMAIL… Check out this “Best Pitch Email” HubSpot received: https://blog.hubspot.com/marketing/best-guest-post-pitch-example So this is a great pitch email because first of all, it is not generic “Hello I am a marketer, give me your money”. It is personal, direct, and short! Also, this pitch shows that Bryan researched this business and knows about their recent blog posts or news. This marketer then gives a soft pitch and example of his own past work and then gives this potential client an example of what he would do for them to help improve their weaknesses. This is FREE work he did to prove his worth! How to Set Pricing for Marketing and How to Charge for Ad Agency Services This totally depends! What is your desired hourly price? How many employees do you have? ALWAYS have 20-40% margin left after all expenses are paid! This equals NET INCOME / REVENUE x 100 …for example, $200 left after all expenses / $1000 retainer x 100 = 20% margin! Once you start to get referrals from clients and have a nice base of work, you can begin to demand more money. You can also charge for your varying added services or just bundle it all into one price! Some ad agencies charge an upfront setup fee and then a monthly retainer (i.e. recurring charge), while some charge a percentage of the ad spend budget they are managing. Others work commission-only at 10-20% or a fixed rate per sale (e.g. we charge $1000 per solar installation we book for a contractor client). EXAMPLE FEES: Ad Agency #1 — $500 landing page setup fee (i.e. ClickFunnels, etc.) + $1500 monthly retainer as a fee thereafter + fees for each additional service (i.e. SEO, web dev, etc.) Ad Agency #2 — $20% of the ad spend budget (so if the client’s ad spend increases, your monthly fee goes up) Ad Agency #3 — Profit share! The client pays you $100 CPA (cost per action). So you earn $100 per sale, but you run the ads and ad spend so well you drive sales for just $40 per sale… and you make $60! We prefer a BUNDLE retainer pricing approach as we can include the cost of all our employees, plus ongoing asset work for a flat monthly rate. From our experience, customers appreciate a stable rate and us being upfront about no later “upsells”, like our competition. One easy thing to do is just contact a local marketer or ad agency in your market and act like a business seeking the specific niche of marketing you’re doing and see what they charge. Once you get a few quotes and pricing packages, you can just undercut them slightly on price OR add a service to justify your higher price! The options and variations are endless! But you will begin to see a theme… the going marketing agency rate is near that 20% of the ad budget or $2000 per month retainers. Outsource Your Work The worst thing you can do is run your entire ad agency all by yourself. You need to ASSUME you will only grow as a business and have a plan in place for scaling your clients and team members. You only have so many hours in the week, so you will eventually need to hire help! Here are my two strategies for new agencies: #1 – Outsource your agency completely to an experienced agency (like us at Coursenvy), but then just add your desired fee on top. EXAMPLE: You find a client interested in having you run their Facebook ads. You charge them $2,250 per month and outsource everything to us for $2,000. You do nothing and make $250 per month. YOU being born are the same odds of me winning the lottery 10 times in my life! The fact that you are alive today, listening to this, means that you are 1 in 400 trillion special! Now think of your second moment you are grateful for. Really step into that memory with your mind and FEEL the gratitude. See and hear that moment. Smile how you smiled that day. Fill yourself up with that gratitude. Now think of a third thing you could be truly grateful for. Think of anything. It could be from your childhood. It could be from yesterday. Something or someone that gives you tremendous gratitude when you focus on it. See it, feel it, be there. Fill up with gratitude! #3 – VISUALIZE Now keeping your eyes closed, begin to visualize the life you want. As Tony Robbins said, “Don’t think about making it happen, see it as DONE!” What do you want to make happen today, this month, this year? What is your life’s purpose? Think about all of your goals… personal goals, work goals, every goal you have. Visualize what it will look like when you accomplish your goals. What will it feel like when you reach your goals? Visualize yourself with everything you have ever wanted. Now focus on today. Visualize the day going perfectly. You are enjoying your work. You are smiling and laughing with friends or family or your significant other. YOU are enjoying your life! Imagine yourself accomplishing everything you’ve ever wanted. What will it look like? How will you feel? What experiences, values, possessions, and people do you see? Visualize every detail you want in your life. Health and fitness, emotions, finances, relationships… Visualize your perfect life. #4 – JOURNALING Now slowly open your eyes. Blink and let your eyes adjust. Stretch your arms and neck. Now grab your journal and a pen… or simply open the notes app on your phone. At this time, I want you to focus on what is most important to you. What you write down should be expressed as a sentence beginning with “I”. EXAMPLE: I am happier every day! I am healthier in every way! I am a leader! I run XYZ business that earns $XX per month. ***These will change as you grow over time and accomplish everything!*** This is to remind you of how capable YOU really are of accomplishing anything! WRITE down your goals, your visualized successes, your life purpose, your ideas, your priorities, your affirmations… By writing these down, we are committing ourselves to these thoughts and therefore increasing our level of internal motivation! As Muhammad Ali said, “It’s the repetition of affirmations that leads to belief. And once that belief becomes a deep conviction, things begin to happen!” Write down the results you are committed to creating! As Steve Jobs said, “If today were the last day of my life, would I want to do what I am about to do today?” Whenever the answer has been ‘NO’ for too many days in a row, YOU know that you need to change something. Only YOU have the power to pursue whatever you want! With each statement you write in your journal, your confidence will increase! Now finish writing your last journal entry for today… PRO TIP: I like to use S.M.A.R.T. goals! S = Specific (involve a precise number) M = Measurable (capable of being evaluated on results in X days) A = Ambitious (think big, world-changing ideas) R = Realistic (the goal must be realistic and attainable given your current resources) T = Time-Bound (have a set end-date) EXAMPLE S.M.A.R.T GOAL: I will partner with 10 local restaurants that don’t offer catering delivery and 10 local corporate companies by X date (which is 60 days from now). I will provide delivery, setup, and breakdown for lunch catering at these businesses. #5 – GET PHYSICAL Ok, now stand up. Shake out your arms and legs to get your blood flowing again. Now get down on the floor and do 30 pushups… or as many as you can in the next 30 seconds! Ready. Begin! Whether this is your first pushup or if you can do a thousand pushups per day… this is a task I need you to complete, in order to begin the snowball of everything else you WILL accomplish today! You may be getting tired. You may drop your knees, but push, through! Come on! You’ve got it. Keep going! Alright, just a few more! Great job! Relax! #6 – PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT Now the last thing I ask of you, before you start your day, is to remember to invest in your personal development daily. Whether that is attending a conference, watching a YouTube tutorial, practicing your skills, taking an online course, or reading a self-help book… you NEED daily personal development! As Jim Rohn said, “Your level of success will NEVER exceed your level of personal development.” If you want success in any area of your life, you have to first develop yourself and your skills in that area. Before you get busy with your day and forget about personal development… I suggest you go grab your morning coffee or tea right now and sit down with a self-help or personal development book of your choice. Even if you only read for 1 minute, you may learn a new idea or concept that you can implement into your day! I suggest setting a minimum goal for pages to read every day. Reading just 20 pages per day equals about 50 nonfiction books per year! Think about how much you will learn from 50 books in a years time! The fastest way to achieve success is to model successful people who have already done what you want to accomplish; which can easily be done by reading these successful people’s books, biographies, taking their courses, and so on! So remember, every day you skip this routine, or skip working out, or snooze your alarm, or skip your personal development… Every choice you make is a step toward the identity you WILL become! You may know someone in your life who says “someday… someday I will pursue my dream!” So… how is that CHOICE to delay their dreams working out for them? Choose to start today! Eliminate “I have to” from your vocabulary and replace it with “I choose to”. Everything in your life is a choice… so choose to live your best life! #7 – ACCOUNTABILITY Congrats! You’ve completed the Morning Envy routine! Now go take this momentum into your day! Now I’m not going to tell you a perfect number of hours of sleep because every body type is different. I know some people who are perfect with 5 hours of sleep, while some need 8 hours minimum! What I will share with you are two things that have helped me dramatically with my quality of sleep. First, is a continuation of the JOURNALING step from above. We all have so many things we do each day and those things don’t magically stop when you lay your head down on your pillow at night. So what I do is pull up my phone’s note app before bed and write down anything on my mind… this can be to-do lists, concerns, thoughts, goals… ANYTHING! By writing down these thoughts bouncing around my head, I find it extremely helpful for clearing my mind before I go to sleep. Second, we all stare at too many screens throughout the day. Our bodies were not physiologically made to look at blue light for 8+ hours per day! That is why I use BlueBlocked.com glasses. Blue light blocking glasses are highly effective at blocking the blue light that emits from your TVs, laptops, and mobile phones. Blue light is scientifically proven to disrupt your natural sleep hormones… so that is why I choose to block it as often as possible throughout the day with blue light glasses.
